The Slot is a CompactFlash card reader/writer designed exclusively for the Akai MPC 2000XL beatmachine.
The fitting of the unit is very simple and straightforward as its design suit the drive slot perfectly — it mounts the same way as the floppy drive without a need for any extra bits. Also, it uses the same power plug as the floppy drive so there is no need for any customized cable (for those with a zip drive we add a power plug converter).
It comes with a set of 3 color stickers to match your machine — black, grey and red.
The Slot is without a doubt the best Akai MPC 2000XL upgrade possible, it's much more faster and efficient than a old floppy disk drive.

One 512MB CF card translates to almost 400 1.44MB Floppy disks which would cost altogether around 200 pounds!
